Shyam Lal Aggarwal & Sons is located right in the middle of Chawari Bazar at 3683-84. If you have ever walked through these lanes, you know it is always packed with people and rickshaws. It is a noisy place, but that is the energy we are used to every day. We have been here for a long time, and the name on the door has a history that we take seriously without making a big deal out of it. Our space is filled with things we need for the day, and it can get a bit cramped when things are busy. We don't have a big reception or anything like that. You just walk in and we talk. Most of the day is spent handling orders and talking to folks who come by the shop. The walls are old, and the stairs are narrow, which is typical for this part of Delhi. We know our neighbors well, and there is a lot of shouting back and forth across the street. It is just the way business happens here. We handle the paperwork, move the stock, and make sure everything is in its place. It’s a family-style environment where everyone knows their job. We don’t use any fancy systems, just honest work and keeping track of what’s coming and going. At the end of the day, we lock up the shutters and head home, ready to do it again tomorrow.
