Our business is tucked away in Katra Tobacco at 2210/2, inside the Agarwal Market in Khari Baoli. If you have ever been here, you know it is one of the busiest spice and grocery markets in the city. The air is always thick with the smell of dry chilies, turmeric, and black pepper, which can make your eyes water if you are not used to it. We deal in wholesale grains and spices, so the shop is mostly filled with large jute bags stacked up to the ceiling. It is a very old building and the walls are a bit dusty, but that is just how things are in this part of town. I spend my whole day talking to different traders and making sure the orders are being loaded onto the handcarts correctly. It is a very hectic environment with people shouting and laborers carrying heavy loads on their backs. We don't have any fancy office space, just a small corner with a wooden desk and some old chairs. We keep our records in thick red notebooks because that is how we have always done it. It gets very hot and crowded during the day, but we are used to the rhythm of the market. We are not trying to be anything big or corporate; we are just a small part of this old trading hub. It is hard work and the days are long, but we just keep at it, day after day.
