You can find Samaek Garments Private Limited over at Bhagirath Palace. We are in the Hari Ram Market, specifically shop 1892/12-A on the ground floor. Bhagirath Palace is usually known for lights and medicines, but there’s a whole world of garment work going on here too. Our shop is small and packed to the ceiling with whatever we are working on at the moment. Being on the ground floor is a blessing because we don't have to climb stairs, but it means the dust from the street comes right in. We spend a lot of the day just moving things around to find what we need. It’s crowded, the lanes are thin, and you have to be careful not to get hit by a trolley when you step out. We don’t have any polished displays or fancy lighting like the showrooms in the malls. It’s just us, some wooden counters, and a lot of garments. The chai wala comes around three times a day, and that’s usually when we take a break. Otherwise, it’s just work. Sometimes the rain makes the lanes a bit muddy, which is a mess, but we deal with it. It’s a busy place and there’s always something to do, whether it’s counting pieces or talking to the guys who bring the goods from the warehouse. We stay late most nights just to keep up with the pace of the market.
