Ramji Chaat Corner

Ramji Chaat Corner is tucked away in Chawri Bazar, specifically at 3499/1. If you have ever been to this part of old Delhi, you know how narrow the lanes are and how many people are always walking past. It is noisy and crowded, but that is just the way it is here. We have been in this same spot for a long time now. The building is old and the walls are a bit cramped, but we make it work somehow. We spend most of our day prepping the potatoes and chickpeas. There is always a lot of chopping to do before we even open the shutters for the day. We don't have a big menu or anything polished. We just do what we've always done. The steam from the large pans makes it quite hot inside, especially during the monsoon months when the air is thick and heavy. We don't have fancy seating, just a few spots for people to stand and eat quickly before they move on with their shopping. Sometimes the delivery carts get stuck right in front of our door and we have to wait for them to move. It’s a bit chaotic, but it’s our daily routine. We know the other shopkeepers around here well. We all just try to get through the day and serve the people who stop by our stall. It’s nothing fancy, just a local corner shop that stays busy from morning until night.
