Pratap Metal Industries

We have been here in Wazirpur for quite some time now. Pratap Metal Industries is what we call the shop, and dealing with metal is what we do every day at A 136. It gets pretty loud and busy around here, but that’s just the nature of the work. People come to us when they need specific parts or materials for their own projects. We mostly handle the heavy stuff. The machines run most of the day. It’s not a fancy office or anything like that. Just a workshop where we get things done. Some of the guys have been working these lathes and presses for years. They know the sounds the metal makes when it’s right. Wazirpur is a tough area, lots of traffic and dust, but it’s where all the industry happens. We just stay focused on the orders that come in. Sometimes things get delayed if a machine breaks down, but we fix it and keep going. We don't spend much time on the computer or making things look pretty. If you walk into our unit, you'll see stacks of raw material and finished bits waiting to be picked up. It is what it is. Just a local shop doing its bit in the industrial area. We keep the gates open early. Most of our neighbors are doing similar work, so we all kind of know each other. It’s hard work, but it keeps us busy and the bills paid. We usually finish up when it gets dark.
