You can find our kitchen at N 61 in Partap Nagar. This is where we do all our food prep and store our big cooking pots. The stoves are usually going from early in the morning, especially during the wedding season. We started this because we enjoyed cooking for large groups, and it slowly turned into a real business. It is a simple setup with a lot of steel containers and industrial burners. We mostly work on events right here in Partap Nagar or the blocks nearby. My wife keeps track of the menus and the orders while I manage the guys who help with the cooking and the transport. We have a small van that we use to move everything around. Sometimes the lanes are too narrow for the van, so we have to carry the pots by hand for the last bit of the way. We do not buy any pre-cut vegetables or frozen stuff. We chop everything ourselves every morning. It takes a lot more time and our hands get tired, but the food tastes better that way. Most of our customers come to us because they ate our food at someone else's party. We do not really do any advertising. We just try to be honest with our prices and make sure no one goes home hungry. It is a lot of cleaning up after the party is over, but that is the job.
