Parikrama The Rock Band

You can find Parikrama The Rock Band over at 1/2639, Hamilton Road. We are right opposite the railway station at Kashmiri Gate. It’s a very loud and busy part of Delhi, which actually suits us pretty well considering we’re a band. Our space is usually filled with guitars, drum kits, and a lot of tangled cables. We spend a lot of time here rehearsing or just fixing gear that broke during the last show. The proximity to the station means there’s a constant hum of trains and people, which just blends into the background for us now. We’ve been around for a long time, and this spot has seen a lot of music come through its doors. It’s not a polished studio with gold records on the wall. It’s more of a working space where things get dusty and the walls are covered in old posters. We don't really do the corporate thing. We just play our music and try to keep the instruments in tune. Sometimes the neighbors complain about the noise, but mostly they’re used to it by now. Hamilton Road is a bit grimy but it has character. We like being in the middle of the city where everything is happening. It’s easy for us to load our gear into vehicles and head out to gigs from here. It’s just how we live and work.
