Single Sons India is tucked away on Jaisi Ram Street in the Ghass Mandi area of Pahari Dhiraj. This is right in the heart of Sadar Bazar. If you’ve ever been to Sadar Bazar, you know how incredibly crowded it is. The narrow streets are packed with people, carts, and goods being moved around. Our place at 5024 is part of that constant movement. We have been here for a long time. The shop is small and every inch of space is used for storing inventory. We deal in various wholesale items. It’s a lot of lifting and moving boxes. The air is always filled with the smell of the market. There is a lot of shouting and bargaining going on right outside our door. It’s a lively environment, to say the least. We don't have air conditioning or anything like that. We just use old ceiling fans that hum all day. Dealing with customers here is a face-to-face thing. We know most of the other shopkeepers on Jaisi Ram Street. We look out for each other. Sometimes a delivery truck gets stuck and blocks the whole alley, and we all just wait it out. It’s part of the charm of working in such an old part of the city. We aren't trying to be anything other than a local business in the middle of a very busy market. It’s hard work, but we are used to it and we like it.
