P. K. Steel & Metal Works

We are located at Plot No. B-58 Group in the Wazirpur Industrial Area. If you know Wazirpur, you know it is a place where people are always busy. P. K. Steel & Metal Works is right in the middle of it all. It is a loud environment because of all the metal being moved around. We deal with steel, so the work is physically demanding. You won't find anyone wearing suits here. We wear clothes that we don't mind getting dirty. The shop floor is where everything happens. We have old benches and heavy tools that have been around as long as the business has. Sometimes the weather makes it tough. In the winter it is freezing and in the summer the metal gets so hot you have to be careful where you touch. We just deal with it. It is not the kind of place you see in magazines. It is just a workshop where we cut and shape metal every day. We have a small team. Most of us live nearby or take the bus in. We share a pot of tea in the morning before we start the machines. It is a simple life and a simple business. We do not try to make it seem like something it isn't. It is just hard work in a busy industrial plot.
