Finding Om Metal isn't too hard if you just look for Metro Pillar No. 77 in Azadpur. We’re tucked away in Kewal Perk Extn., right at number 3. It’s one of those spots that feels very much a part of the local Delhi chaos. The metro rumbles overhead all day, which you just get used to after a week or two of working here. We handle all sorts of metal pieces, basically whatever comes through the door that day. It’s a lot of manual work, sorting and stacking, but we like the rhythm of it. The Kewal Perk area has a lot of small businesses like ours, so it always feels active. We don’t spend much time on fancy decorations or making the place look polished. It’s a metal yard, so it looks like a metal yard. Our neighbors know us well, and we often help each other out with space or moving things around. When you’re looking for us, that pillar 77 is the best landmark. If you miss it, you’ll probably end up wandering around the extension for a while. We’ve been at this Azadpur location for a long time, seeing the metro being built and everything else changing around us. It’s just our daily life, dealing with whatever metal needs to be moved and making sure the trucks can get in and out of the lane. We just stay focused on the day's tasks.
