We’ve been here at Katra Neel in Chandni Chowk for quite a while now. If you know the area, Building No 759 isn’t hard to find but you have to head up to the first floor to see what we are doing. It’s always crowded downstairs with the rickshaws and the loaders moving bales of cloth around. Oliver Apparels Pvt Ltd is just our name on the paperwork really. Mostly we just spend our time looking at samples and dealing with the local vendors who come in and out all day long. The stairs are a bit steep and sometimes the lights in the hallway flicker when the weather is bad, but that’s just how things go in this part of Delhi. We started small and stayed here because it’s where all the action is for clothes. People come by to talk about orders or just to have a quick chai while we sort through the latest stocks. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons but we have the fans going. We don't really do much fancy advertising or anything like that. Most folks who need us know where the building is and they just walk up. It’s a busy life but it keeps us going. There is always something to fold or a phone call to answer about a delivery that’s stuck in traffic somewhere near the main road. That’s just life at Oliver Apparels.
