New Virender General Store

Sadar Bazar is a place where you can get lost if you aren't careful. New Virender General Store is right there in the New Market area, specifically at 5431/A 1. It’s a hectic spot to have a shop. Every morning starts with pulling up the heavy metal shutter and seeing what needs to be done. We have a lot of stuff crammed into a small space. Boxes are usually stacked up near the entrance because there just isn't enough room in the back. We spend half our time just moving one thing to get to another. The New Market area is always full of people looking for a bargain, so it stays pretty loud all day. We keep a small stool near the counter for when things slow down, but that doesn't happen often. The light inside is a bit dim because the shop is deep, but we know where everything is even in the dark. We handle a lot of small items, so there’s always a lot of counting and checking. Sometimes the ceiling leaks a little when it rains hard, so we have to be careful where we put the paper goods. It’s not a fancy place by any means, just a solid shop where we do our business. Dealing with the wholesalers and the walk-in customers keeps us on our toes from morning until we close up at night. It is just the way things go around Sadar Bazar.
