New Model Engineering Works

Our workshop is at Office No. 695 on Hamilton Road, right in the heart of Kashmere Gate. If you know Delhi, you know how busy and crowded this area gets. There are people and vehicles everywhere, and the noise never really stops. We’ve been in this spot for a while, and it’s a typical engineering setup. The room isn't very big, but it’s packed with the tools and parts we need for our daily work. It’s mostly metalwork we handle here. The floor is old and has seen a lot of use, and there’s usually a bit of a smell of machine oil in the air. We don't have any fancy office furniture or decorations on the walls. It’s just a place where we come to work and get things made. The tea stall nearby is where we spend our short breaks, and we usually talk shop with the other guys from the neighboring offices. Hamilton Road is famous for auto parts and machinery, so we fit right in. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just have to wait it out or work by the light from the doorway. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know the machines well. We just take the drawings or the old parts people bring in and do our best to replicate or fix them. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do every day. It’s just a simple, hardworking shop.
