Multani General Stores

We are located in Chawla Market, which is part of the big Sadar Bazar area. If you have ever been to Sadar Bazar, you know it is always crowded and full of energy. Our store is one of the many tucked into the small lanes here. We sell almost everything you can think of in small quantities. From safety pins to washing powder, we try to keep it all on the shelves. The space is very small, and we have boxes stacked up almost to the ceiling. You have to be careful when walking in so you don't knock anything over. It has been our family business for two generations now. My father sits here in the mornings, and I usually take the evening shift. We deal with all kinds of customers, some who like to bargain a lot and some who just pay and go. The heat in the summer can be tough because there isn't much air moving in these narrow market streets. We get our goods from the wholesalers right here in Sadar, so our prices stay pretty low. We don’t have a sign that lights up or anything fancy. People find us because they have been coming here for years and know the spot. It is a noisy and busy place but it is home for us. We just keep the shop open and sell what we have. There is no big secret to it, just staying consistent and being here when the customers arrive.
