Mulk Raj Basant Ram & Sons

Our shop is tucked away at Door No 264, right near Pan Mandi Gali. If you know Sadar Bazar, you know how crowded it gets. We have been here for years, through the hot summers and the busy festival seasons. Mulk Raj Basant Ram & Sons is a family name, and we take that seriously. It is a tight space in Tolia Wali, but we make it work. Boxes are stacked up to the ceiling most days because there is never enough room for everything. You have to watch your step when you walk in. The street outside is always full of carts and people rushing somewhere. We open up early and stay late until the last customer leaves. It’s a lot of manual work, moving stock and checking lists. Sometimes the lights flicker when the load is high on the street. We drink a lot of chai to keep going. My sons help out with the heavy lifting and the accounts. It is not a quiet life here in Sadar Bazar, but we like the energy. Customers come from all over, some have been buying from us since my father’s time. We don't have a fancy website or a big marketing plan. People just know our address and come by. It’s a simple business built on showing up every day. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but there is never a quiet moment to do it.
