Mittal Provision Store

Mittal Provision Store sits at Plot No. 2731 on More Sarai Road. It’s right in the middle of the chaos of Chandni Chowk and Lajpat Rai Market. Being near Koria Pull and the Old Delhi Railway Station means it’s always crowded and loud around here. We’ve been in this spot for ages, selling provisions to whoever walks in. The shop is small and packed to the ceiling with bags of pulses, spices, and other kitchen essentials. You have to watch your step because of the sacks on the floor. It’s a very old-school way of doing business where we weigh everything out for the customers manually. Since the railway station is so close, we get a lot of travelers looking for a few things before they catch their trains. It’s not the easiest place to reach by car, so most people come by rickshaw or on foot. The air is always full of the smell of different spices and the sound of the market. We don't have a computer system for everything; we still use paper notebooks for a lot of our tracking. It’s just how we’ve always done it here in the market. It’s busy, it’s cramped, but it’s our life every single day. We don't mind the noise much because it means the market is doing well and people are buying.
