If you've ever been to this market, you know how loud and crowded it gets in the early morning. We get here before the sun even comes up to receive the crates coming in from the trucks. The air always smells like apples and oranges, depending on the season. It’s a hectic life, shouting over the noise and making sure the counts are right. We deal with all sorts of fruits, mostly in bulk for the local vendors. My father used to run things before me, and not much has changed since then. We keep the ledger books on the old wooden desk and try to keep track of everyone who comes through.
