Jai Narain Stores

Our store, Jai Narain Stores, is located at 5497-A in the Gandhi Market area of Sadar Bazar. This part of Delhi is famous for being incredibly crowded and busy at all hours. We’ve been here for a long time, selling all sorts of general goods. The store isn’t very big, so we have to stack everything high up on the shelves. Sometimes we have to use a ladder just to get something a customer wants. It’s a bit of a maze inside with all the boxes and crates. We don't have a polished look or a modern checkout counter. It’s mostly just us and a few helpers managing the daily rush. People from all over come to Gandhi Market to find things at a good price, and we see hundreds of faces every day. We don’t do much advertising because the foot traffic here is so high anyway. We spend a lot of time just keeping track of what is coming in and what is going out. It’s hard to keep the place tidy when so many people are moving through, but we do our best. We’ve seen the market change over the years, but our shop stays pretty much the same. We enjoy the chaos of Sadar Bazar, even on the days when it’s so hot you can barely breathe. It’s just how things are done here, and we wouldn't know what to do with ourselves if it was quiet.
