If you’re looking for Milan Paalki, you have to head down Gali No-1 in New Chandreawa. We’re right near the Subji Mandi and the old Ghanta Ghar in Kamla Nagar. It’s a crowded area, so there’s always something going on outside our door at 5635. You can hear the vegetable sellers shouting and the traffic from the main road. Our space is pretty simple. We don’t have fancy rugs or air conditioning that works all the time, but it’s where we get everything done. We’ve been here for years, and the neighbors all know us. We handle a lot of traditional stuff, mostly things people need for local celebrations. It can get pretty hectic when a big order comes in. We end up moving boxes around and trying to find space in the narrow alley. It’s not the easiest place to reach with a big truck, but we make it work somehow. We’re just regular folks working a job. We don’t put on airs or pretend to be something we’re not. Most days involve a lot of walking back and forth to the main market for supplies. It’s a lot of physical work and keeping track of details. We keep our doors open and just get on with it. It's a bit dusty, and the walls could use some paint, but this is home for our business. We usually eat lunch together on the small bench out front.
