Mayur Garments

Finding us at 126-A in Shalimar Bagh can be a little tricky because of how the pockets are laid out. Pocket U & V has its own rhythm, and Mayur Garments is right in the thick of it. The space is filled with the smell of new fabric and the constant hum of work being done. We have racks and racks of things lined up, and sometimes it feels like there is hardly any room to walk between them. It’s not a showroom, just a place where we get the real work done. The windows stay open most of the time to let some air in, though that means we get the dust from the street too. We’ve got a couple of old wooden tables where we do all the folding and packing. It is a bit loud sometimes when everyone is talking at once, but that’s just how it is here. We don't really go for the corporate look. You’ll find us with our sleeves rolled up, probably drinking tea out of paper cups while checking the latest batches. The neighbors are mostly other small businesses, so there is always someone moving boxes or loading a van nearby. We keep our heads down and stay focused on the garments. It is a simple setup, but it has served us well for a long time. We don't see any reason to change how we do things as long as the work keeps coming in and we can keep up with it.
