Master Band

We are located at 388 in Lajpat Rai Mkt. If you know the area, you know it’s always crowded and full of energy. Master Band has been part of this scene for a good bit now. The shop isn't huge, but we make it work with what we have. There’s usually music or some kind of noise coming from nearby stalls because that’s just how the market is. We keep our gear organized as much as possible, though things tend to get moved around when we are busy with a lot of visitors. It’s a lot of manual work and heavy lifting some days. You won’t find any polished marble floors or fancy lighting here. It’s more about the instruments and the people who use them every day. We see a lot of regulars who stop by just to say hello or check on things they left with us. Sometimes the heat in the market gets a bit much, but we have a small fan that helps a little bit. We’ve got a system for how we do things, and it works for us. Lajpat Rai Mkt is a specific kind of place, and we fit right in with the other shops. We aren't trying to be something we aren't. We just show up, do the job, and go home. Our space is functional. There’s a lot of history in these walls, even if it’s just old paint and some scratches on the floor. It’s where we do our thing every single day without much fuss or bother.
