Little Coffee Bean Private Limited

Our spot is on the front side of the second floor at 2-A/3, Asaf Ali Road, right near Turkman Gate. It’s an interesting part of Delhi because you have the old city on one side and the newer buildings on the other. We chose this location because it has a lot of character, even if the building itself is a bit dated. We work with coffee, obviously, given the name. The smell of roasted beans is pretty much baked into the walls at this point. It’s a small operation. We don't have a bunch of managers or a HR department. It’s just a couple of us who really like a good cup of coffee and wanted to make a business out of it. The stairs up to the second floor are a little steep, so we tell people to watch their step. We spend a lot of time tasting different batches and talking to suppliers. Sometimes we stay late just to finish a roast or organize the bags for the next day's orders. We use a simple grinder and some basic equipment. Nothing too high-tech because we like to keep things manual where we can. The view out the front window shows the busy street below, which is always entertaining during lunch hour. We aren't trying to be the biggest coffee company around. We just want to stay in our corner of Turkman Gate and keep doing what we enjoy. It’s a decent living and we get to meet a lot of different people.
