Kumar Metal Industries

Hauz Qazi is one of those places where you can find anything if you look long enough. We are located at 531 Sita Ram Bazar. It’s an old building, like most things in this part of town. Kumar Metal Industries has been operating out of this space for a long time. The street outside is always packed with people, carts, and rickshaws. Sometimes it’s hard to even get a delivery through the front door. Inside, it’s a different world. It’s darker and smells like iron. We have stacks of metal sheets leaning against the walls. You have to be careful where you walk so you don’t trip over something. We don't have much in the way of modern office stuff. There is an old wooden chair and a table where we eat our lunch. The ceiling is high but the walls are peeling a bit. We don't worry about the looks of the place as long as the work gets done. Most of the people who come to us are regulars who have been buying from us for decades. We know their names and how they like things done. It’s a lot of manual labor, lifting and moving heavy stuff. At the end of the day, our backs usually ache. But that’s just how it goes in the bazar.
