Karnika Garments

We are located at S-102, right near Gate Number 4 in the Badli Industrial Area. It’s an industrial zone, so the roads are often filled with trucks and delivery vans. Karnika Garments is one of many units in this stretch. Our space is basically a large hall where everything happens. We have rows of workstations set up. It’s not a quiet place. There is always the clatter of metal and the whirring of motors. We spend our days surrounded by various fabrics and patterns. The lighting is functional, designed for work rather than comfort. Most of the people working here have been in the garment industry for years. We know how to handle the machines and the material. It gets dusty, so we spend time cleaning the equipment every evening. There’s a small area where we keep the records and paper files, though it’s often buried under samples. Lunch is usually a quick affair brought from home. We don't have a canteen. We just sit where we can and chat for a bit. The winters in Badli can be quite cold, so we bundle up while we work. In the summer, the big fans are our best friends. It’s a simple setup where the focus is strictly on production. We don’t have a marketing team or a fancy website. People find us through word of mouth or by coming to the industrial area for business. It’s just hard work every day.
