We’ve been here in Munirka for a long time now. The shop is right opposite the Canara Bank at C-67. Most days it’s just us handling metal orders and cutting things down to size for folks who drop by. It gets really busy on the street outside but we try to keep the doors open for air. If you’ve ever walked past that bank, you’ve probably seen our old sign hanging there. We handle various bits of scrap and different metal pieces that people need for their projects. Sometimes it gets pretty loud with the cutting machines going, but that's just part of it. It’s a small place but we manage to fit a lot in. My brother helps me out most days. We get all sorts of people coming in looking for specific iron rods or sheets for their home repairs. It isn't anything fancy or polished. Just a regular metal shop where we get our hands dirty. The area has changed a lot since we first started. I remember when the bank first opened across the road. Now there’s much more traffic and noise. We try to keep the inventory organized but metal takes up a lot of room and it gets messy. We keep the heavier stuff stacked in the back. If someone needs a certain size, we have to go digging through the piles. It’s dusty work and our hands are usually stained grey by the end of the day. That’s just how it is.
