Up on the 2nd floor of A-48 in the Wazirpur Industrial Area, you’ll find the office for J.N.B. Steel Industries Pvt. Ltd. It is a busy part of Delhi, and the noise from the streets below never really stops. We spend a lot of time looking at stacks of papers and coordinating with the guys downstairs who handle the actual steel. The air in Wazirpur always feels like it’s full of metal dust and exhaust, but that’s just the environment we work in every day. Our space is filled with old filing cabinets and desks that have seen better years. We don't worry much about the decor because we are too busy keeping track of inventory and making sure the trucks are loaded correctly. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit there talking until it comes back on, which is just part of life in an industrial zone. We’ve been around for a while now, and most of the faces here have stayed the same. We know our regulars by name and we don't feel the need to act like some big corporate entity. It’s just a steel business run by people who know the trade inside out. We deal with the delays, the heavy lifting, and the constant phone calls without much fuss. It isn't a glamorous job, but it’s honest work and it keeps us occupied from early morning until the sun goes down over the industrial rooftops.
