Janta Steel

Janta Steel is located over at Plot No. O/121 in Sector 2. This is right in the middle of the Bawana Industrial Area. If you have ever been to Bawana, you know how it is. It is all about manufacturing and heavy work. Our plot is just one of many in this sector. We handle a lot of steel here. It arrives on big trucks and we have to stack it up. It is mostly heavy pipes and thick plates. The floor is concrete and always has some scratches from the metal moving around. It’s a noisy place because of the surrounding factories. You can hear hammers and presses going all day long. We don't have any air conditioning, so we just keep the big shutters open to let the air in. In the winter it gets quite cold, but we keep moving to stay warm. We have a small corner where we keep the paperwork, but most of the action happens on the main floor. The guys who work here have been doing this for years. We usually get our lunch from the local stalls nearby. The food is spicy and keeps us going. There is nothing fancy about what we do at Janta Steel. We just provide the materials that other people use to build things. It is honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. Sometimes we stay late if a big shipment arrives.
