Jaina Sarees

We are located in Chandni Chowk, right in Building 1049-50 over at Main Kucha Natwa. If you know this area, you know how crowded and loud it gets, but that’s what makes Jaina Sarees what it is. We’ve been surrounded by the smell of street food and the noise of rickshaws for a long time. Our shop isn't huge, but we pack a lot of sarees into the space. There are piles of fabric everywhere, and we spend most of our time folding and unfolding things for people who walk in. It’s a family-style environment here, where everyone knows each other’s names. We don’t have a fancy website or a big marketing team. Most people find us because they were already in the market looking for something specific for a wedding or a festival. Dealing with the stock takes up most of our morning. We get new stuff in quite often, and it takes a while to sort through everything and get it on the shelves. Sometimes the lights flicker when the power is acting up in the old building, but we just keep going. It’s a very traditional way of doing business, just face-to-face and honest. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, but the way we handle sarees hasn't changed much. It’s just about showing the fabric and letting people decide what they like and what fits their budget without any pressure.
