Our place is on the first floor at 746, Mahendra Singh, which is in the Haider Pur area. We’re pretty close to Vikash Cable, so that's usually the easiest way for people to find us. We make clothes, or apparels as some people call them. It’s a bit of a mess sometimes with all the fabric scraps and thread rolls lying around. You can hear the sewing machines running most of the day. It’s a rhythmic kind of sound that you get used to after a while. We aren't a big factory or anything, just a local spot where we get our orders done. The lighting isn't the greatest, but we make it work. Most of the people working here live nearby in Haider Pur, so it feels like a small neighborhood thing. We don’t really do much in the way of advertising. Most people find us through word of mouth or because they’ve seen our sign near the road. We spend a lot of time checking the stitching and making sure the sizes are right. It’s repetitive work, but it pays the bills. Sometimes the power goes out and everything goes quiet, which is a bit strange, but then we just wait for it to come back on. We’ve been at this for a bit now. There’s always piles of shirts or trousers waiting to be packed up. There isn't a lot of room to walk around when the orders are high, but we get it done somehow.
