Gupta Chat Corner

We are located at Shop No 214 in the Satya Niketan Market, which is right near Dhaula Kuan. If you have ever been to this market, you know how crowded it gets with all the college students from South Campus walking around. It is a very lively place, and our little corner is right in the thick of it. The shop is pretty small, so most of the time people are just standing outside or eating while they walk. We have been here for a long time and have seen many generations of students come and go. It gets very hot in the summer because the shop is open to the street and we are always cooking something. There is constantly the sound of people talking and cars moving nearby. We don't have fancy menus or a lot of seating. It’s just a counter and us doing our work as fast as we can when the rush hits. Sometimes the line gets a bit long and people have to wait, but that’s just how it is in a busy market like Satya Niketan. We keep things simple and just focus on the food we’ve been making for years. The walls have some old posters and the counter is a bit worn down from all the plates being slid across it. It’s a basic spot, but it’s our spot, and we are there every day from morning until late. We just keep the stoves hot and make sure there is enough chutney for everyone.
