Grover General Store

This is Grover General Store. We are at No.404 on Puram Road in Asalatpur Jarai. It’s a straightforward shop for people living around here who need their daily things without having to travel too far. I started this place because there wasn't much on this side of Puram Road at the time. Now, there are more houses and more people, so we stay pretty busy. The shelves are usually packed with whatever I can get my hands on that week. Sometimes I run out of things and people get a bit annoyed, but I try to restock as fast as I can. The building at No.404 is just a basic concrete structure. It stays cool enough in the summer if we keep the back door open. I spend most of my time behind the counter, chatting with the neighbors and keeping an eye on the street. Asalatpur Jarai is a quiet enough place, but the road out front gets its fair share of traffic. We don't do anything fancy here like home delivery or online orders. People just walk in, get what they need, and pay cash. It’s a simple way to run a business and it works for us. My kids sometimes help out after school when it gets crowded in the evenings. It is a humble life but we are happy serving our little community here.
