We are located at number 5526 on the first floor in Nai Sarak. If you've ever been to Chandni Chowk, you know how tight the lanes are and how many people are always rushing around. Getting up to the first floor with rolls of fabric can be a real challenge because the staircase is narrow and old. The building has been here for a long time, and you can see it in the walls and the heavy wooden doors. Inside, we have stacks of cloth reaching almost to the ceiling. It’s a bit dark in some corners, so we use some tube lights to see what we’re doing. The air always smells a bit like old paper and cotton. We spend our days measuring out lengths of fabric and talking to people who come in looking for specific patterns. It’s a lot of haggling and conversation, which is just how things work in this part of Delhi. We get our tea delivered in small glass cups from the guy downstairs several times a day. There isn't much room to move around, especially when we have a new shipment sitting in the middle of the floor. It’s a busy, cramped, and noisy place, but it’s where we’ve been for years. We don't bother much with making it look modern. It’s just a practical workspace in the heart of the old city where we get our business done.
