Geet Steels

Down here at F-5 on the main road in Sarai Rohilla, things stay pretty loud. Geet Steels has been in this spot for a while, right in the middle of the Shastri Nagar chaos. If you are looking for us, just look for the place with the most metal sitting around. The traffic outside never really stops, so we’ve gotten used to talking a bit louder than most people. It’s a dusty part of Delhi, and no matter how much we sweep, there’s always a layer of gray on the desks by noon. We don’t have a big corporate office with a view. Our view is basically the road and the people walking to the station. We drink a lot of chai to keep going. The workshop area is where most of the action happens. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and making sure the orders are ready when someone comes to pick them up. Sometimes the trucks get stuck in the narrow lane, and we have to go out and help them navigate. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in the city, just trying to do our bit here in Sarai Rohilla. The building is old but sturdy enough for what we do. We share the space with a few other businesses, so it’s always a bit of a squeeze. We like it though. It feels like we are part of the real city.
