Ganesh Metals

Ganesh Metals is based in the Wazirpur Industrial Area, right at C 3. It’s a very industrial part of town, so you’ll hear the sound of hammers and machines as soon as you turn the corner. Our workshop is a bit dark and always smells like metal and cutting oil. We’ve been working here for years, mostly dealing with different kinds of metal sheets and rods. It’s a tough environment, especially in the middle of summer when the heat from the machines makes the air thick. We don't have any air conditioning, just a few big wall fans that hum all day. The floors are concrete and usually have a layer of metal dust on them. We wear heavy boots and keep our heads down. We don't have a sales team or a front desk. If you want to talk to us, you just walk through the main door and find someone. Most of our work is for other factories or builders who need specific metal parts made. We just look at the samples they bring and tell them if we can do it. It’s a very direct way of working. We eat our lunch in the back and get back to it. The street outside is usually full of iron scraps and parked trucks. It’s not a pretty place, but it’s where we do our work every day. We just focus on the metal and making sure the cuts are right before things leave.
