If you come down to 79 Shradhanand Marg, you have to look for the stairs to get to the second floor where we are. Filco Trade Centre Pvt Ltd has been in this spot for a while now. G B Road is always noisy, no matter what time it is. You hear the horns and the people shouting all day long. Up here on the second floor, it is a bit quieter but not much. We spend most of our mornings just sorting through papers and taking calls. Some days the lift works and some days it does not, so we end up walking up a lot. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but we are usually too busy with the trading work to worry about that. People come in and out, mostly looking for specific parts or asking about prices. We keep our ledgers on the desk and try to stay organized, even when things get a bit hectic in the afternoon. Sometimes the tea guy comes by twice if we are lucky. It is just a regular office where people work hard. We have been here through the heat and the rain for many years. Most of the folks around here know us by now. It is just how it is in this part of town. We open up early and stay until the sun goes down, just like everyone else on this street.
