Federal Impex

We operate Federal Impex and we use P.O. Box 1116 at the G.P.O. for most of our mail. It’s a bit old-fashioned, but it works for us and keeps everything organized in one place. Dealing with imports and exports means we are always checking on shipments and talking to people in different time zones. It can be a bit tiring staying up late or getting in early to catch someone on the other side of the world, but we've gotten used to it over the years. We aren't a big flashy company with a huge storefront. Most of our work happens behind the scenes, making sure the cargo moves from point A to point B. We started this because we knew a bit about how trade works and figured we could make a living at it. It’s mostly just us handling the day-to-day tasks. Some days are slow, waiting for a boat to dock, and other days are a total mess of phone calls and urgent emails. We try to keep things simple. We don’t have a lot of fancy equipment, just what we need to get the documents processed. Our desk is usually covered in sticky notes and tea mugs. It’s just how we work. We don't really do big speeches or anything, we just try to get the orders right and keep the clients from worrying too much. It’s a living, and it’s what we know.
