Fashion Cottage India

Fashion Cottage India is located in Lajpat Nagar at I-34. We are up on the 3rd floor. Being in this part of Delhi means there is never a dull moment. The area around the GPO is always buzzing with people and rickshaws. Our shop is a bit of a climb since we are on the third floor, but we have a good view of the street from the small window. We mostly deal with a lot of wholesale and retail clothing items. Our floor is usually filled with boxes and plastic bags because we are always receiving new things from the factories. We don't have a lot of fancy decorations. It is more of a warehouse style where we focus on the clothes themselves. We spend a lot of our morning drinking chai and planning out the day’s work. The afternoons are usually spent dealing with customers or suppliers who drop by. Sometimes the power goes out, which is just part of living in Delhi, so we just wait it out. It’s a family-style environment here. We all know each other well. We aren't doing anything groundbreaking; we just sell clothes to people who need them. It is hard work, especially moving stock up and down those three floors, but we are used to it by now. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs to be done every day.
