Durga Steel

We’ve been based out of Wazirpur Industrial Area for quite some time now, specifically at Office No. A-83. It’s a busy part of the city, always crowded with trucks and people moving metal around. Our daily routine at Durga Steel usually starts early because the heat gets pretty bad later in the day. We handle a lot of different steel stuff here. It isn't a fancy office with air conditioning in every corner, but it works for what we do. People come in and out all day asking about prices or looking for specific sizes. The tea stall around the corner is where we usually get our morning fix before the shutters go up. Sometimes the traffic in Group area makes it hard for deliveries to get out on time, but we manage. My father started this and now a few of us keep it going. We don’t really have a big team, just a handful of guys who know their way around the yard. Most of our tools are old but they still get the job done right. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to suppliers or trying to figure out why a shipment is late. It’s noisy here because of the other factories nearby, but you get used to it after a week. We mostly just focus on getting the orders out to the people who need them without too much fuss. There is always paperwork piling up on the desk that needs sorting.
