Dhiraj Metals is right in the heart of the chaos at Ajmeri Gate. If you’ve ever walked down Kundewalan Street, you know how tight the lanes are and how many people are pushing carts around. We are on the 1st floor of Ishwar Market, specifically at 751/102. It’s a small space, mostly filled with samples of different metals and stacks of ledgers. The market outside is always shouting, and sometimes it's hard to hear the person standing right next to you. We do a lot of our business right there in the doorway or over a quick cup of tea from the stall downstairs. We don't have a big fancy showroom with bright lights. Most of our stock is stored elsewhere because there just isn't room in the market for everything. We spend our days talking to builders and small shop owners who need specific bits of metal for their own projects. It’s a lot of haggling and checking the weights on the scales. Sometimes the deliveries get stuck in traffic for hours because that’s just how Ajmeri Gate works. We don't let it bother us too much. We’ve been part of this street for a long time and we know how to navigate the mess. It’s a simple operation run by a few of us who just want to get the orders filled and get home at a decent hour. No frills, just metal and the daily hard work.
