Detec Devices Pvt. Ltd. is located at BJ-105 in the west part of Shalimar Bagh. It is a residential-feeling area but with a lot of businesses tucked into the houses. Our place is a bit like that too. It doesn't look like a big factory or anything from the outside. It’s just a standard building in the BJ block. We have a small sign on the gate so people don't miss us. Inside, we’ve converted the rooms into different work areas. It can feel a bit like a maze if you aren't used to it. We have some benches for assembly and a small corner that serves as the office. The neighborhood is generally quiet, which is nice for focusing on the work. We usually have the windows open to get some fresh air, though you can hear the birds and the occasional street vendor calling out. We don't have a big corporate lobby or a receptionist. Usually, whoever is closest to the door just goes and opens it. It’s a very hands-on environment. Most of us have been here for a while and we know exactly where every tool and component is kept. It’s a steady pace of work. We aren't in a hurry to grow into some huge company; we just like making our devices and making sure they do what they’re supposed to do for the people who buy them. It’s just a plain, hardworking office in Shalimar Bagh.
