Delhi Vegetables Company

We are located at Shop No B 230 in the New Subzi Mandi at Azadpur. This is one of the biggest vegetable markets you will ever see. Our day starts when most people are still sleeping. At 3 or 4 in the morning, the whole place is already buzzing. Trucks are coming in from all over with fresh produce. Delhi Vegetables Company is right in the middle of that chaos at B 230. There are crates of greens and bags of potatoes everywhere. The floor is usually wet and there is a lot of shouting as people negotiate prices. It is a very loud and fast-paced environment. By the time the sun is fully up, we have already done a lot of our work. We wear heavy boots because it gets muddy and messy. Our shop B 230 is just a basic space with enough room to stack the vegetables that come in. We don't have time for fancy talk. It is all about the quality of the produce and getting it moved out to the smaller markets around the city. You can smell the earth and the fresh greens all around Azadpur. It is a tiring job, but it feels good to be part of the food chain for the city. We finish up when other people are just starting their lunch. That is life in the mandi, and we wouldn't know what to do with ourselves if things were quiet.
