Our shop is at No. 4677 in Mahavir Bazar, right in the heart of the cloth market. It’s a busy place with people moving rolls of fabric around all day long. We’ve been here for quite some time now, just doing our daily work with textiles. The space is a bit cramped because we try to keep a lot of variety on the shelves, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. You’ll see piles of cotton and synthetics everywhere you look. We open up early when the market is still a bit quiet, but by noon, it’s a total madhouse outside with the carts and the shoppers. We don’t have fancy displays or anything like that. We just focus on the cloth and making sure we have what people are looking for. Sometimes the electricity goes out or the delivery trucks get stuck in the narrow lanes, but we just manage. Most of our regulars have been coming to us for years. They know where we are, tucked away in Mahavir Bazar. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s ours. We spend our days measuring, cutting, and talking to the other shopkeepers. It’s a local way of doing things, nothing like those big malls. We just keep our heads down and get the job done, day in and day out, at No. 4677.
