New Life Surgical Works

We've been here at Bhagirath Palace for a long time now. If you know Chandni Chowk, you know how crowded it gets, but this is where all the medical stuff happens. Our shop at 1681/4 is usually busy with people coming in for surgical instruments and hospital supplies. It’s not a fancy place, just a regular workspace with shelves full of tools. My father started things here, and we just kept it going. We deal with a lot of local doctors and sometimes people coming from far away because they know this market has everything. It’s noisy outside with the rickshaws and the crowds, but inside we just focus on getting the orders right. Sometimes the tea guy comes around twice an hour, which is good because we need it. We handle a lot of different surgical items, mostly stainless steel stuff. We don't really do much advertising because people just find us through word of mouth or by walking through these narrow lanes. It is a bit of a maze here, to be honest. If you are looking for specific surgical tools, we probably have them sitting in a box somewhere in the back. We try to keep things simple and just do the work we are used to doing every day. The lights in the alleyway can be a bit dim in the evenings, but we stay open until the market starts to quiet down. It's a tough life in Old Delhi, but it’s our life.
