Chanda Steel Works (P) Ltd.

Our place is over at B-64/2 in the Wazirpur Industrial Area. If you've ever been around here, you know it's a noisy place with a lot of heavy work happening in every building. Chanda Steel Works (P) Ltd. is right in the thick of it. We mostly deal with metal and steel, so there’s always the sound of machines or loading trucks in the background. It’s not the kind of place where you’d wear a suit. Most of us are in work clothes that get stained pretty quickly. The floors are concrete and there’s always a bit of grease or metal shavings around. We open up early to beat the worst of the heat, though it stays warm inside no matter what we do. We have a small area for the office work, but most of the action is on the shop floor. We handle a lot of different steel projects. Some days are just about cutting and prepping, other days we’re loading up big orders for transport. The roads in Wazirpur can be a mess with all the trucks, so we have to plan our day around that. We’ve got a small crew who knows how to handle the equipment. It’s basic, honest labor. We don’t have a website that gets updated or anything like that. We just do the work that comes in. It’s been this way for a long time now. We usually wrap things up around six and head to the local station. It is a long walk, but it clears the head.
