Bhag Singh Tirath Singh is our family-run business, located at 1052A & 1054, Pai Walan, right in the area of Jama Masjid. We have been working from these two spots in the lane for several generations now. It is a very traditional way of doing business that hasn't changed much over the years. We don't have a website or any kind of social media presence to speak of. We just show up, open the heavy metal shutters in the morning, and start our day's work. This part of the city is famous for its long history and its extremely tight streets. We deal with various types of goods, and the shop space is usually packed right up to the ceiling with our inventory. Sometimes it can be a bit of a challenge to find a specific item we are looking for, but we generally know where everything is tucked away. It is a lot of face-to-face interaction with our customers, many of whom have been coming to see us for years. We aren't interested in trying to become some big corporate entity. We really like the personal feel of a small family shop. The building itself is quite old and has its share of problems, like the roof that tends to leak during the heavy monsoon rains. We just patch it up and keep going. Most of our time is spent talking to people and managing the stock. It’s an honest way to make a living.
