Ashu Sarees

You can find Ashu Sarees at No. 1307-1308/209 on the second floor. Our shop is located in Vaidwara, which is a famous part of Maliwara in the Nai Sarak area. If you’ve ever been to Nai Sarak, you know how packed the streets are with people, books, and clothes. It’s a very old part of Delhi and it has a lot of character. We have been selling sarees here for a long time. Being on the second floor at address 1455 gives us a little bit of distance from the street level, but the sounds of the market still reach us. We have piles of sarees in every color imaginable stacked up on our shelves. My family runs the shop together. We spend our time showing different fabrics to customers and helping them choose something they like. We don't have any fancy displays or expensive lighting. It is just a traditional shop where you sit on the floor and look at the stock. The lanes in Maliwara are very narrow, so it’s easy to get lost if you aren't careful. We tell people to look for the landmark buildings nearby. It gets very busy during the wedding season, and the shop feels even smaller then. We don't do any big advertising. Word of mouth has always been enough for us to keep going. We are just a regular family business in the heart of the old city.
