You can find us at 65 Shardhanand Marg, which most people still call G.B. Road. It is one of the most crowded and famous markets for machinery in Delhi. Our store is packed from floor to ceiling with different types of equipment and spare parts. It’s a narrow building like most of the ones on this road, so we have to be very smart about how we stack things. The noise outside is constant with horns honking and people shouting, but once you step inside, it is all about the machines. We have been in this location for a long time and have seen the market change through the decades. We don't really bother with expensive displays or lighting. Our customers come here because they know we carry the stuff they need for their shops or factories. It’s a lot of manual work, moving heavy items around for people to see. We have a small staff who knows the stock well. We don't really use a computer for everything; a lot of our notes are still kept in big ledgers. It feels more real that way. Dealing with the traffic on G.B. Road is always a challenge, especially when we are loading up a delivery, but we are used to it by now. It’s just life in the heart of the city’s trade district, where the work never really stops until the shutters go down.
