Arjun Bombay Pav Bhaji

Arjun Bombay Pav Bhaji is our little food stall located at D 24 in Model Town II. It’s not a restaurant with tables and chairs inside, it’s more of a place where you stand and eat or take it home. I’ve been cooking here for years, and my hands always smell like spices and butter. The stove is almost always going, so it gets pretty hot in our small workspace. We have a few big metal tawas that we use all day long. It’s noisy because of the scraping of the spatulas and the sound of the gas. We don't have a big menu, just the basic stuff we’ve always made. The area around D 24 is usually busy with people walking their dogs or coming back from the market. We have a lot of students who come by because it's quick and they’re always hungry. Sometimes we run out of bread earlier than expected, and we have to close up early, which makes people upset. But we can only do so much in a day. The stall itself isn't very big, and we have to keep our supplies tucked under the counters. We don't have any fancy decorations, just the smell of the food and the sound of the street. It’s hard work being on your feet all day, but we like seeing the same faces every evening. We’re just a local food spot in Model Town.
