Amritsari Lassi Wala

Our shop is right in the heart of Chandni Chowk, at Chowk Fatehpuri, number 295. If you have ever been to this part of Old Delhi, you know how chaotic and loud it is. Amritsari Lassi Wala has been here through all of it. We specialize in lassi, which we make in big metal churners. It’s a very simple operation. We have a few benches for people to sit, but most customers just stand on the street and drink from their glasses. The shop is old and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we are too busy to think about that most days. We get a mix of tourists who are lost and locals who have been coming here since they were kids. The summers are our busiest time because everyone is looking for something cold. We don't have a website or a fancy menu. We just serve what we know how to make. The noise from the rickshaws and the bells from the temple nearby is constant. It can be exhausting to work in such a crowded area, but there is always something happening. We just focus on keeping the curd fresh and the glasses clean. It's a humble business, nothing more and nothing less. We are just glad to be a small part of this famous old market where history is on every corner.
