A. H. Welding & Machine Tools is tucked away inside Ajmeri Gate on Shahtara Street. The address is 4583/A, but it can be a bit hard to find if you don't know the lanes well. It’s one of those narrow streets where you have to move for the carts and bikes all the time. Our shop is always a bit dark and smells like burnt metal and oil. That’s just the nature of welding and machine tools. We have machines that have been running since before I can remember. They aren't new, but they work just fine for what we need. Usually, you’ll hear the sound of a grinder or someone hammering away before you even see the door. We aren't much for sitting around. There’s always something that needs to be cut or joined together. The neighbors are mostly other workshops, so we all know each other. It’s a tight community in here. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know to come to Shahtara Street when they need a tool repaired or some heavy work done. We drink a lot of tea while we work and talk to the regulars who stop by. It’s a bit messy, with metal scraps on the floor and grease on the walls. But that’s a real workshop for you. We just keep our heads down and finish the orders as they come in. It’s what we know how to do best.
